The Monastery Years

Posted on: February 15th, 2013 by

It was my intention, after raising money for the YMCA, to go to seminary, become ordained a priest and then enter a monastery where an intentional proximity within God was possible in a different way than outside a cloister. After a parish curacy, I tested a vocation at the Society of St. John The Evangelist in Cambridge, MA and West Newbury, MA. After the three years of noviciate, I discerned a call to pass through the monastic life rather than go deeper to the monastic life. I take into this new life I now live, many of the tools I acquired and awareness I found in that cloister with those stunning monks who taught me to be myself. These are some images from those very happy years.
